Who is Tomoko?

Where she's from

Tomoko Kuroki is the protagonist of the anime/manga series No Matter How I Look At It, It's You Guys' Fault I'm Not Popular!, or simply WataMote.

The series is about her attempts to become popular at school, but one of the things that sets her back is her social anxiety, which is something that I also struggle with.

If you also struggle with social anxiety, and you haven't watched/read WataMote yet, then I highly recommend it. However, the anime and the first few volumes of the manga are very cringeworthy due to Tomoko's awkward attempts at
socializing/gaining popularity, and sexual topics are regularly brought up in the series as a whole, so if you're not a fan of either of those things, watch/read it with caution.
